A Randomized Controlled Trial on Eat Breathe Thrive

The first randomized controlled trial on the Eat Breathe Thrive program is now complete — and we are so excited to share the results with you!

In this webinar, Esther Estey will present the findings from the pivotal study on the Eat Breathe Thrive program, which was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Cook-Cottone. Discover what science has to say about how and why the curriculum works, as well as surprising findings about who it works best for!

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How researchers at the Unviersity at Buffalo worked with facilitators in ten cities and two different countries to collect and analyze data
  • What the study showed in terms of effectiveness: including which variables improved, which didn’t, and which improvements were sustained six months out
  • Future directions for research at Eat Breathe Thrive, including a new randomized controlled trial on online programs

Chelsea Roff

Chelsea Roff is the Founder and Director of Eat Breathe Thrive. An author, researcher, and educator, she has spent nearly a decade pioneering integrative health programs for people with mental health challenges.





Esther Estey

Esther Estey

Esther is a doctoral student in the combined School and Counseling Psychology Program. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher and has an MA in Human Resources, and an MA in Counseling (with a specialization in child and youth counseling). She provides therapy, mindfulness, and yoga to veterans at the Buffalo VA, in addition to a yoga program for athletes struggling with food and body image issues at the University at Buffalo. As Adjunct Professor, she teaches graduate courses on clinical applications of mindfulness and counseling for trauma and abuse. She also maintains a private practice, specializing in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and depression.
